The Oversight Committee Meeting of Sri Lanka Country Coordinating Mechanism was held from 4.15 to 6.30 pm on 18th January 2024 in hybrid mode (both physical and virtual means) at the conference room of the Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health. The meeting was chaired by the Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardana with participation of five out of its seven members and ten observers.

It was observed that that a considerable progress had been in many action points mentioned in respective components during the previous meetings. The issues which were not resolved from the last meetings were highlighted and corrective actions were suggested.

Progress of the projects and grants supported from the Global Fund were reviewed and evaluated. Among them were the Project Heath Information and Quality Improvement, Grant for Tuberculosis prevention, Grant for HIV/AIDS prevention and C19RM investments.

The progress of the development of the Fund Requests for HIV and Tuberculosis for the Seventh Global Fund Cycle (GC&) was also discussed. These Fund Requests were been prepared for requesting funds for Sri Lanka for the years 2025 to 2027.
